Chartered or Scheduled Flights, What’s the difference?
Chartered flights or Charter flights as they are referred
to are normally seasonal and are part of a tour operator’s
program e.g. Excel Airways, MY Travel (formerly Airtours),
Thomson Fly, First Choice Airways, Monarch, the majority
of seats on these flights are tied to package holidays
and mostly are only available for 1 and 2 week durations,
however a bargain can be had when the tour operators are
struggling to sell holidays and release flight only fares.
Scheduled airlines Like Virgin, British Airways, BWIA
and Air Jamaica (the most popular from the UK) operate
a year round frequent schedule in some cases daily, giving
you the flexibility of setting your own duration.
Our reservations consultants will help you find the best
options available to you, please bear in mind our Scheduled
flight search facility will only search and book flights
to the Caribbean on scheduled carriers, the charter prices
you see here are updated regularly and only available
to book via our reservations team.
