La Pirogue Hotel has borrowed the shape of the traditional local fishing craft…the pirogue…to create an image of seagoing harmony, in a setting with sea views that will leave the guest mesmerized. Its main building echoes a billowing white sail anchored to the earth by the traditional angular shapes one finds in the pirogue craft.

Location
Situated on Mauritius’ longest white sand beach (which La Pirogue shares with the Sugar Beach Resort), this is an ideal destination for the active family.

Accommodation
124 chalets divided between standard and superior rooms, each with air-conditioning, en suite facilities with shower, IDD telephone, minibar, television (Canal Plus, Sky News and video in 4 languages), and a furnished terrace. The superior bungalows are closer to the beach and offer ocean views.

Hotel Facilities
Restaurants include the Terrace Restaurant where half board meals are taken, Paul and Virginie serving fresh seafood grills, Citronellas serving fine Mediterranean. Other facilities include a swimming pool with poolside bar, gymnasium, sauna and a variety of water sports.

Restaurant
The Terrace Restaurant, overlooking the pool deck, is known for it’s a la carte Chinese cuisine, also barbeques, and ethnic theme buffets. Daily for dinner, buffet breakfast, lunch specialties of pasta and pizza.
