Fethiye Market - from Fethiye

Enjoy an exciting full-day excursion visiting the abandoned 'ghost town' of Kayakoy and shopping for bargains at Fethiye Market, the biggest open-air market in the region.

Spend time haggling with the traders at Fethiye Market, the largest of its kind in the region. This is a large open-air market which sells leather goods, food, jewellery, antiques and bric-a-brac, footwear, Turkish carpets and more.

Afterwards, you'll visit Kayakoy "Ghost Town", once a thriving village with a thousand houses, two churches, fourteen chapels, and two schools. Kayakoy, which had been continually inhabited since before the 13th century, was deserted in 1923 when through a government mandated population exchange, the Greek inhabitants were repatriated to Greece after the war of independence. Today, the only sound in the village is the breeze blowing in off the sea...
