Konopiste Chateau

You will visit one of Bohemia’s most beautiful chateaus - Konopiste, where you can admire its fascinating collection of historical furniture, sculptures, paintings, tapestries and countless hunting trophies exhibited there. It was once the home of the successor to the Austrian throne, ferdinand dEste, whose assassination in Sarajevo in 1914 served as a pretext to the start of World War I.

The price includes only one tour at the chateau. Konopiste was the residence of Ferdinand d’Este whoose assasination in Sarajevo in 1914 served as a pretext to the start of World War I. Konopiste has a large park and garden area. Guides are available at the castle only.

Staying in Prague‘s Pedestrian Zone?

Some hotels cannot be accessed by car due to the pedestrianised zone in Prague’s historical city centre. If you are staying in the following hotels, you will need to meet your guide at the meeting point Narodni 38, Prague 1, 110 00 Czech Republic. This should be no more than 10 minutes‘ walk from your hotel.
