Teide Astronomic Tour

Enjoy this perfect tour for astronomy lovers. This is simply the perfect trip through Teide for astronomy lovers and there is even transport included from various parts of Tenerife.

This 8 hour starlit extravaganza includes a guided tour in the afternoon of the largest solar observatory in the world, the Teide Observatory. After sunset the stargazing experience begins using a long range telescope under the clear and pure sky of the Teide National Park, the most visited national park in Europe.

This tour also includes a stop at a restaurant in the National Park for optional snacks, picnic style (not included in the price).

Certified astronomical guides will wait for you to unravel the mysteries of the Universe for you using professional telescopes, which will allow you to see up close and for your own eyes those fascinating celestial objects that you have longed to see for many years, under the pure and clear sky of the Teide National Park, where it is possible to observe 83 of the 88 officially recognised constellations and where, in the summertime, you can enjoy perfect visibility of the Milky Way.

Tour Information

Tour Availability: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, all year round.

Start Time: From 7pm depending on your resorts and the time of the year. Your pick up time and place will be confirmed locally.

Please be at your meeting point at least 20min before confirmed pick up time.

Duration: 5hrs approx.

Inclusions: Starlight Guide, Astronomical observation with long range telescopes and English speaking guide.

Exclusions: Food or transportation. A picnic is available (€8) with water or soft drink and consists of Sandwich (Tuna, Chicken, Jam and Cheese) and chocolate bar. Also any other services not mentioned above.

Additional Information: Please note this tour is not suitable for children under the age of 8 or people with general health conditions such as respiratory or heart problems and reduced mobility. If you are not sure whether you can participate in the activity, consult your doctor before planning your visit.

Should weather conditions prevent or hinder visability of the starsduring the astronomical observation, the guides will use audiovisual equipment to give you a virtual tour of the night sky, constellations and prominent objects that you would have been able to see had the conditions been favourable.
