The Wieliczka Salt Mine is one of the most visited places in Poland and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn about how salt was produced in Wieliczka from the 13th Century until 2007.

Your tour will begin with descending the staircase to the mine’s first level at a depth of 64 metres. On this level you can admire the centuries old corridors with its statues and figures that were carved in to the walls by the miners themselves.

View the enormous chandeliers made of salt and crystal, the chambers and chapels and the underground saline lake. The mine’s microclimate has beneficial qualities for those who suffer with asthma and allergies.

The tour will take you through all 3 levels of the Mine.

At the end of the tour you will have 15 minutes free time to buy souvenirs or some of the locally produced salt. Your tour also includes a bottle of water and a traditional Polish sweet snack.

Tour Operates: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays year round. Excluding Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and 21st April.

Tour Duration: Approx. 4 hours (departures can be morning or afternoon this time will be confirmed on your voucher).

Your exact meeting point will be confirmed on your voucher depending on the location of your hotel.
IMPORTANT: From 13th May 2019 the meeting point at Radisson Blu Hotel will not be available.

Note: This tour is not recommended for those who have problems with walking or are claustrophobic. To get to the 1st level, all tourists need to descent a wooden stairway of 378 stairs. There is a lift down to the 1st level but this is at an extra cost of approx. 300.00 PLN.

Please Note: Underground temperature: +14C (55F) Please ensure you bring warm clothing.
There are 800 steps to climb throughout the Mine, please ensure you wear comfortable shoes.
